This is a wonderful piece of work you have here! The background is AMAZING!! It looks so realistic, but very drawn at the same time!!! I love how the rain drops are going in different directions...it makes it look more natural. I also love how the side of the boat was painted. It looks rusty and warn (which I guess was on porpose?). Great job!
The figure is wonderful as well! I love the shading...it looks as if lighting just struck because the shadows are very crisp and the lighting on that half of his body is very bright. On thing I would critique is his expression...is he scared, sad, shocked? It just isn't very clear to me, but it doesn't look bad at all. His emotion is just a little unclear. What I think is happening (correct me if I'm wrong) is that lighting just struck, and he is a little surprised about it, but I'm not sure. If that is the case, one thing to make that more clear might be to have the lighting in the frame, or maybe have a small reflection of the bolt in his eye.
So, over all, a WONDERFUL piece of work!!! I love all of it! They fur on you figure, the background...wonderful job!!!! Keep drawing, always. You have true talent!
